The process starts with a first meeting with Maria Karimi at her Bespoke room confined in her downtown based atelier. Your needs are discussed and taken into consideration, followed by a fabric selection session. A second meeting is booked right away, where sketches are drawn specifically for you. You will be presented with a first mock-up fitting at your second meeting.

Each garment is cut from scratch, created and handmade by Maria Karimi and her team of highly skilled tailors with the best craftsmanship. The nature of the bespoke service is not only based on skills and physicality creating an exclusive bespoke suit, dress, shirt or an evening gown, but also the need to share and reflect your personality, lifestyle, while showcasing the aspirations of the MAR brand.

The bespoke method is a different and more elaborate approach to Made-to-Measure; the process is equivalent to that of true Haute Couture. Contrary to elemental MTM (where a design is first established and then adjusted to the client’s measurements), bespoke demands for the design to be sketched from scratch and created solely using the body as a canvas. The whole process can average 8 to 12 weeks following the first meeting with Maria.

Maria Karimi will personally receive you at her luxury Bespoke Room and will carefully walk you through each stage of the process, helping you create a beautiful women’s custom Power Suit, a custom dress, a custom gown or simply a fully custom-made wardrobe that will be a true reflection of your style and personality. Each one of these items will be designed, cut and crafted in our downtown atelier.

Our women’s MTM services allow our customers to adjust our designs according to their personal preferences. The process involves a selection from various collection pieces, according to the season. The client will then be able to have their chosen pieces customized to her preferences. Options ranging from silks and woolens of some of the best English and Italian mills to the exquisite selection of French laces and hand embroidered pieces by the designer herself, to the finishing touches of the lining and buttons, guarantee a truly personalized piece. A ladies custom made garment requires two fittings in order for the garment to be a perfect fit.

Fashion designer Maria Karimi is known for the best custom pants for women that are designed, cut and tailored just for you, to your exact measurements. We offer custom-made dress pants to a more detailed pair, such as custom Jeans, cargo pants, breeches and much more. Details like pleats, cuffs and pocket styles are decided based on personal preferences and fabric features. We also offer a more sophisticated and feminine style in palazzo forms and an undeniably comfortable custom-made jumpsuit.

At MAR, a bespoke shirt is exclusively designed, cut and tailored for you. Whether it is to be worn to enhance your casual attire or to complete the look of your custom suits, it is an important process that needs that extra attention on our behalf: details of a specific fit, style of the collar, buttons and all other personal touches are usually discussed with you at the beginning of each season with Maria herself. Your custom- made shirt pattern will be kept in-house for future orders.

Our custom women’s trench coat fabrics are made of 100% natural and sustainable cotton, offering long life, superior breathability and excellent protection against wind, rain, and snow, while being quiet and comfortable. They are available in many colors.

At MAR, we make sure that your custom coats pattern is designed with a modern fit that can be worn comfortably over your suit jacket or your dress, with the desired length. A removable hood can be added to the design, adding that extra convenience.

Custom Bridal wear and evening wear services offer an in-between process of Made-to-Measure and Bespoke: all depends on the occasion and the client’s desires. MAR custom gowns fall on the spectrum of traditional to modern, including wedding gowns, bridal headpieces, bridesmaid dresses, evening wear for galas, and a multitude of other unique creations. The range of possibilities in terms of design and customization are discussed between the client and Maria.

We also offer private meetings, where the wedding party and family members can sip champagne and brainstorm ideas, using our wide selection of fabrics and accessories.
